FAULTY GOODS

If you receive goods that you consider to be faulty, please contact us by email sales@tallguy.com.au or call us 1800 810 702, before returning any products.

In most cases faulty goods are obvious to us. Please, be sure how the garment was washed, what detergents were used and what heat settings were applied to it.
A quick photo of the goods will help us determine quickly your claim.
BLEACH
Garments that have come into contact with bleach are easy to identify.
Pink marks or colour loss in distinct patches are sure signs that your garment has come into contact with bleach or another garment (in the wash) that has has been in contact with a chlorine based agent.
SHRINKING
Garments that have changed size dramatically have normally been dried rapidly (Dryer). Some drycleaners do not follow the garment specifications and wash, clean and dry batches of garments, rather thatn sorting them individually into groups.
TEARING
Garments that tear along seam lines can sometimes be the result of an incorrect fit. Garments that tear in the "broad area of cloth" (not along a seam line) often occur as a result of being caught on a sharp edge. Sometimes cloth can be weakened over time by using excessive detergents or cleaning products. If the garment has been worn a number of times without tearing, then often this is the case.
ZIPS
Most of our manufacturers use genuine YKK zips. However zips are something that can cause problems. Not correctly inserting both sides of a zip into the "start fitting" can cause a derailment which damages the teeth of the Zip. Excessive heat, exposure to salt or rough use can all damage the mechanism of a zip.
SHOES
Very rarely do we have problems with the components of our shoes as most of them use the same sole units and manufacturing processes. However problems can occur with the stitching of the upper to the sole unit. If this occurs we will asses how the shoe has been worn. Normally the cleanliness of the shoe upper material and the wear pattern on the sole will very quickly indicate whether the shoe or the wearer is at fault. If you have had the shoes for a few months, trekked across the Himalayas or traversed jungle streams and the shoes shows signs of it....do not expect us to replace them.

BE FAIR ABOUT IT

We are pretty fair people, we just ask that this is reciprocated. We would ask that you also consider where the garment was worn or used and how often the garment was worn. (Was the fabric rested?)
Think about how the garment was washed or cleaned. Did you really hand wash it in a gentle mountain stream, using eco friendly washing agents or did you run it through a cement mixer in boiling hot water using hospital grade nuclear cleaning agents? Did you really dry the garment outside under a shady tree or did you dry in in a blacksmith furnace?

If we are uncertain about the validity of a claim or we cannot agree, the garment maybe sent back and assessed by the manufacturer who was responsible for making the garments. We will accept the decision of the manufacturer.

If the goods are deemed as having an inherent fault we will pay for your return postage and either credit or exchange the product.
